This stuff never gets old: Meet the man vying to be the City of Melbourne’s first Indigenous councillor. Loving how they capitalise “indigenous”. Link
Here’s our indigenous trailblazer!
He is a “Wiradjuri man”, in case it wasn’t clear that he’s male. Apparently his grandmother was Aboriginal, but we don’t know if full blooded or otherwise:
Between them, her grandchildren have 26 bachelor’s degrees, six master’s degrees and two doctorates.
This is telling us something which you’re not allowed to even think about, and it’s telling us something about the European share of their ancestry, the likely size of it, and you don’t need to even know what they look like to guess at it.
Probably he’s mostly British Isles genetically, and we’re sure he’s plenty proud of his ancestors, who conquered half the world and brought civilisation and things like universities to this continent, so people like him could live in comfort mooching off the wealth they created and get doctorates at those universities they built.
He is sensitive about people noticing what is staring them in the face:
Professor McMillan, who sued columnist Andrew Bolt over racial discrimination in 2009, served as a director of the former National Congress of Australia’s First Peoples and is a board member of the Trangie Local Aboriginal Land Council.
It was Steve Sailer who said political correctness is a war on noticing. We’re going to keep noticing:
