Chef Pete Evans, after not long ago getting away with posting Nahtzi imagery and opining about the “true history’ of Nahtzi era Germany, has finally been banned from Facebook.
Although there are many who suspect the real reason for the campaign to silence him is jealousy at his good looks and manly hairy physique, and the fact that his engorged lipped Kiwi wife, at 38, still appears to be more than serviceable (never underestimate the lengths to which jealous lesser men (and vindictive spurned women) will go in order to bring down greater men) a Facebook spokesman has implicitly scotched this:
We don’t allow anyone to share misinformation about COVID-19 that could lead to imminent physical harm or COVID-19 vaccines that have been debunked by public health experts. We have clear policies against this type of content and we’ve removed Chef Pete Evans’ Facebook Page for repeated violations of these policies.
His one and a half million Facebook followers (that’s a lot, which would be over 10% of the adult population, if they were all Australian, but they wouldn’t be) are now left bereft of their Daily Pete, because they don’t seem to understand that they are only allowed authorised expert opinions on things like health and vaccines, as they are pretty dumb and easily misled by celebrity chefs with plenty of stuff to hawk. You can’t recognise that someone is a bit of an oddball, if an entertaining one, and is wont to speculatively run his mouth off on all sorts of things, because you’re just dumb.
Some people are just thick as two planks of course, that wouldn’t be such a problem if people could have trust in the authorities, but nobody know what’s going on because we are lied to about lots of things. In March 2020 or thereabouts all these political and health authorities in Melbourne were unanimous that you should not be wearing masks unless you are sick:
And we are somehow supposed to know when something new we’re told is not a lie (or we’re supposed to figure out whether something is a lie, or just incompetence), in the case of Chef Pete the vaccine that doesn’t prevent an infection of a not for most people particularly dangerous mysterious virus is somehow a life or death thing that we must have.
They also don’t seem to understand that if they push and push then some people are going to push back, and act out, and even get quite unreasonable and weird and paranoid, or even worse. Not saying that is what Paleo Pete is doing necessarily, it’s hard to know because all his stuff has been deleted, except he still has Instagram, for now, even if Instagram does not make it easy for you to find his page.
