Fox FM, 101.9 on your dial, is censoring a song that no-one should be ashamed to admit is very good, Justin Bieber’s “Holy”. The latter part of it is not good, where that other guy with the stupid American black rap person name is just talking-singing. Only the Bieber bit is good.
The word that is censored (on Fox, not the video) is pimps, in the chorus:
They say we’re too young and
The pimps and the players say, “Don’t go crushin'”
Wise men say fools rush in
But I don’t know
In case it’s not clear, the word is pimps. It is especially egregious that “pimps” is being censored, because it is in the best part of the song.
No one knows what is going on here, or what other words they’re going to protect our delicate ears from next.
With this Arrested Development tune, even though it is totally wrong to do it, people can at least understand the reason why radio stations ruin what is a good song:
And assuming the unlikely event that any radio station in Australia would ever play this all time Sex Pistols classic, again, people would understand why there would be words getting the silent treatment all over the shop:
Or this one, oh boy:
But no one knows why Fox FM seems to be accusing wholesome young man Justin Bieber of singing something dirty and offensive, when he says “pimps”. The people deserve answers on this.
