A Northern Territory Road Safety TV advertisement, which recommends basic road safety skills, like not sleeping on the road, and wearing bright clothing when drunkenly ambling about on the road at night. It’s certainly sound advice.
Sadly, there are still corners of the internet where hate and bigotry flourish, and the Youtube comments section is one of them:
The last two are not only hateful and hurtful, but wrong, instances of a hoary but not very old myth, born of confusion upon reading old government and historical documents that had titles with the words ‘flora’, ‘fauna’, and ‘Aboriginal’ in them. From day one of settlement in 1788, Aborigines were considered to be British subjects, and there were no animals or plants that were also conferred this lofty, surprise honour. Whiteness impels us to state: say no to ignorant and factually erroneous bigotry.
