“City of Yarra withdraws job ad for $72k ‘climate emergency’ artist”, link:
A Greens-dominated inner city council has abruptly withdrawn an ad seeking applications for a “climate emergency artist“.
The City of Yarra was set to pay $72,854 plus super a year for an artist with “a significant body of work” to be creative around the “climate emergency” issue.
They withdrew the ad because the tabloid press were pointing and laughing at it.

Reminder, this is what the people who run Yarra Council look like:

These sorts of positions you’d normally assume, in a saner yesteryear world, are a type of corruption or nepotism, where jobs are handed out to trusted people, a divvying up of the spoils of office, and if councillors had been involved in campus SRC politics, then that’s where they learnt about this stuff. It is also possible that it’s not corruption at all, and they are just total morons, because they’re young and Green.
